Although the Scale of Points is no longer in our AKC Pug Standard, it is useful for both the breeder and the judge. It is a guide in evaluating the various aspects of the Pug. It should not be used in a literal or mathematical manner to consider individaul pasrts above the dogs overall quailty. Balance, condition and zest all contribute to make the Pug far more then merely the sum of his parts.
