Necrotizing Encephalitis in the Pug Dog
(PDE)
The title of my presentation reflects the title of the grant that the Pug Dog Club of America so generously supported for funding through the AKC.  Your health committee chair was a tremendous help and encouragement to me during the application process, as she has continued to be in the year following.  So, the title is “transmission analysis of breed specific necrotizing encephalitis in the pug dog” and simply stated, it means “finding our how our dear pugs get this breed-specific, devastating encephalitis”.
